Hands on: Motorola Android CLIQ Dext [source: Tech Radar]
Tech Radar has a review of the Motorola Android CLIQ (Dext) phone:
The Motorola Dext is a more than an OK mobile phone, although it’s little thick thanks to housing a full QWERTY keyboard. The buttons on the front of the phone look touch sensitive, but are actually fairly tactile with a satisfying click to help you navigate around the phone. The phone itself is a fusion of Android and a Facebook / Twitter / MySpace mashup. The home screen (which has five panels to customise) allows you to see ‘happenings’, which is Motorola’s arty-fancy word for things that are written on social networking sites.

A non-T-Mobile Motorola CLIQ?
AfterDawn reports that Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has noted this week that the handset maker is currently in talks with other U.S. carriers in an effort to sell the new Cliq Android phone on a carrier besides T-Mobile. Most analysts and speculators believe the second carrier will be Verizon Wireless but Jha stayed mostly mum on the subject.
Added Jha: The company is “in talks with all large operators in U.S. and is fairly hopeful we will begin to engage with all the U.S. operators.” Jha also noted again that a new Android phone is in the works, and should be launched within the next two months.
