Motorola Pushing Out a CLIQ Update This Week – Not THAT One
Motorola’s MotoMobile twitter account tweeted earlier today that an update was coming to the Cliq this week. Nope, not 2.1 just yet. That one is scheduled for the second quarter of this year. The update rolling out over the next few days is designed to address battery life, GPS, and the touchscreen.

Motorola Calgary / DROID Devour gets shot up in silver, new info
Motorola is making a device in more that one color according to a contact of BGR. They also got the following information:
The keyboard was “nice” and the phone itself was “easier to use” compared to the Motorola DROID. Obviously that’s personal opinion, and maybe the BLUR OS simplifies things for some people, but the trackpad apparently is killer as a navigational input device. Oh? The device has Wi-Fi, GPS, a 1420mAh battery, but unfortunately no SIM card slot as it is not a global device. Whether the unit will come in multiple colors or not is not confirmed as these are still non-final units, we’re told, but we’d probably bet on it being available in black as well as silver.
Motorola DROID OTA schedule
A clear explanation from a VZW connect that outlines how the OTA updates work for the Motorola DROID. At noon today, approximately 1,000 people received the notification to update their handset. At around midnight this evening, 9,000 more will receive it. After the initial 10,000, there is a 48-hour waiting period. No one after that receives anything until December 10th at 12AM, which will be 200,000 people. It will continue at 200,000 devices a day until everyone is updated.
Take a look at the following enhancements that you will be getting on your Droid by Motorla:
* OS stability is improved.
* Battery life is improved.
* Camera auto focus functionality is improved, and time between shots is reduced.
* Enhancements for three-way calling.
* Audio for incoming calls is improved.
* When receiving a call on call waiting, the speakerphone now remains on.
* Bluetooth® functionality is improved; background echo is eliminated.
* Improved Bluetooth phone book transfer of contacts to in-vehicle Bluetooth solutions.
* After closing a GPS application, the GPS icon will now automatically be removed from the notification panel.
* Users can now receive SMS and MMS messages after an EMS message is received.
* SMS and MMS may now be sent to seven-digit addresses.
* Google® contact merging has been updated to accommodate seven-digit numbers.
* Visual Voice Mail notices now arrive instantaneously.
* The corporate calendar widget user interface is updated.
