Verizon puts a bandage on the Motorola Droid’s battery door

Those of you who have a Verizon Droid smartphone are probably aware that the Motorola Droid battery cover simply loves to keep coming off which can be somewhat of a pain, but never fear because Verizon has a fix for that.
The Verizon solution to the problem was to stick a Verizon sticker over it, which was slightly the better option then suggested by the original Verizon rep who wanted to use scotch tape for this extremely high tect solution…

Motorola Droid OTA Update Starting Today?
It looks like good fortune may come a tad early as the OTA update for the Motorola Android Droid will start today and roll-out to all Droid owners over the next 48 hours.

How-to: hack your own DROID dock with magnets and cardboard
Motorola decided to use magnets in its new DROID car and “multimedia station” docks. Based on the positioning of a couple of magnets, the phone auto-loads the pertinent application — the multimedia station at least offers a charging plug, but the car dock is all stand. Lucky for us it’s not hard to figure out where to place a couple of magnets and spoof the phone into acting like it’s docked. For now check out our Engadget’s very own multipurpose homebrew DROID:
